Peoria Historical Society: Downtown Peoria Walking Tour

Meet at the Julia Belle Swain landing after you have parked your car. Join veteran guide Bernie Drake for an engaging tour that will highlight Peoria history. Learn about the courthouses that were on the square before the current one. Explore each of the memorials from the newest Korean War Memorial to the oldest, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Stroll to the GAR Hall and learn about its architecture and its history.  
• Participants are asked to wear masks during the tour and to socially distance from one another.
• Tours will last approximately 1 ½ hours, unless otherwise indicated.
• Tour fee is $15 per person. 
• Tours will be limited to no more than 8 participants to assure social distancing.
• Participants should feel comfortable walking 1 ½ miles and standing up to 20 minutes. 
• There may be uneven ground at Springdale Cemetery or on public sidewalks. 
• Tours will go rain or shine, except in the case of severe weather. Participants should dress accordingly. If severe weather comes up while a tour is taking place, it may be cut short to ensure the safety of the participants. 
• Cancellations permitted up to 24 hours ahead with full refund or reschedule.

Peoria Rhythm Kings will warm, rock and party your heart’s soul for the entire night with the finest Blues and Blues/Rock. They cover ZZ Top, BB King, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal and many more. Fans of blues/rock handbrake guitar work will love the Peoria Rhythm Kings! Peoria Rhythm Kings founder and leader Mike Stumpo is a singer, songwriter, rhythm guitarist and bass player for the band. For over 40 years, he has rocked the Midwest, opening for nationally known groups. In 2019, he took the Peoria Rhythm Kings to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Advanced admission is online via the new and improved ticket system on 309Tix website. See ticket link above. Choosing your seats ensures a table. Individuals may purchase their own tickets. Only small tables are placed with four chairs at each. Tables may NOT be moved or moved together as they are spaced 6 feet apart.

BYOB is still in place. Drinks and ice will not be provided.
The Rhythm Kitchen (restaurant and bar on the 1st floor) can provide food and drinks for carry out to the concert.

Except when eating and drinking, masks must be worn when entering, exiting, moving about the room and talking to someone other than those you came with. Performers are required to wear a mask when not performing. Prior to the event, surfaces will be sanitized and sanitizer will be present at the doors.
