Gary Allan
Gary Allan

With the allure of a modern-day outlaw, Gary Allan has won over fans, peers and critics with his signature blend of smoldering vocals, rebellious lyrics and raucous live performances. While becoming a force on the country music scene, Allan has remained true to his artistic voice each step of the way. Allan re-signed with Universal Music Group Nashville in 2016, the label home for the entirety of his twenty-year career. He is currently finishing up work for his upcoming EMI Nashville release.

His last album, SET YOU FREE, topped the Billboard 200 (Pop Chart), a career first for Allan.  The album also made its debut at the top of the Billboard Country Album chart (for the fourth time in a row), and produced his fifth #1 country radio chart-topper with “Every Storm Runs Out Of Rain.”  The California native released his first album, Used Heart for Sale, in 1996 and since then has released eight additional studio albums selling over 7 million albums, been certified platinum on three back-to-back albums, and been certified gold five times.  Allan has five #1 hits at country radio, fourteen Top 10 hits to his credit and amassed over 270 million total streams.  He’s described as “dark and dreamy” in Entertainment Weekly, “soulful and rough around the edges” in Playboy and deemed a “maverick” by Rolling Stone.  He sells out venues as a headliner from NY to LA, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Live with Kelly and Michael and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has also landed on the covers of Country Weekly, Pollstar and People magazine.

Hits: Watching Airplanes, Man To Man, Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain), Nothing On But The Radio, Best I Ever Had, Tough Little Boys, Right Where I Need To Be, and Life Ain’t Always Beautiful.

About Jennifer Hartswick:

Jennifer Hartswick is one of the most exciting performers in music today. She inspires audiences all over the world with her powerful voice and commanding trumpet playing. She exudes confidence and joy and brings her own refreshing spirit to the stage every time she performs. Jennifer’s music is honest, soulful and comes with a maturity far beyond her years.

Jennifer’s live performances are renowned as spontaneous, joyful and contagious. Her natural charisma and sincerity shines through, and each performance is a celebration of musical collaboration; the camaraderie between Jennifer and her band mates is always visible. And whether she is wailing on the trumpet or singing an intimate vocal solo, her performance is all part of a single seamless instrument, one that is played not only with astounding technical proficiency, but also with sensitivity, conviction and heart.

Hartswick is an original member of the Trey Anastasio Band and has recorded with Herbie Hancock, Phish, Christian McBride, Big Gigantic and many others.

About The Nth Power:

Proving that soul music can be exponentially greater than the sum of its parts, The Nth Power is on a mission to share the light. Formed during an impromptu late-night jam at Jazz Fest 2012 in New Orleans, the relentlessly funky and soulful band believes in music as a higher power tapping into an energy that is simultaneously sexy and spiritual, with songs that will inspire audiences to dance, groove, make love or just stand there with goose bumps.

The trio hails from diverse musical backgrounds, races and creeds. Female powerhouse Nikki Glaspie was Beyonce’s world-touring drummer for five years before she joined Ivan Nevilles New Orleans funk outfit, Dumpstaphunk. Bassist Nate Edgar of Groovechild and John Browns Body perfectly compliments singer and guitarist Nick Cassarino who came from the Jennifer Hartswick Band and toured with Big Daddy Kane.

About Brainchild:

Brainchild is a band that combines the feeling of jazz & soul with the intensity of shredding guitar solos. Their growing list of original songs combined with a diverse selection of covers are a perfect blend of many styles of music. The best way to describe the sound is Brainchild. They are an up and coming band that's out to melt your face. Recently they have been traveling the mid-west rocking out with bands like Sublime, Marshall Tucker Band, Oteil and the Peacemakers, 56 Hope Rd., Family Groove Co. and Groovatron. Playing regularly in Chicago and Indianapolis. A recent highlight was having special guest Jake Cininnger from Umphrey's McGee sit in after a show in Peoria. Brainchild attended their 11th straight Summer Camp Music Festival this year and it was the best one yet!

Mr. Blotto at Kennys Westside Pub
Mr. Blotto at Kennys Westside Pub

Kenny's Westside Pub presents:
Mr. Blotto
Saturday, March 24th at Kenny's Westside Pub
Show: 10:00PM
21+

Stick around for drinks after the show! Bar's open till 4:00AM!

About Mr. Blotto:

Mr. Blotto was born in Chicago as an off-night vehicle for musicians who loved each others playing but were in different bands at the time. The only rule was that they would only play what they loved. That philosophy continues today and has led Mr. Blotto into unique musical situations.

Mr. Blotto takes the Jam band asthetic into areas unfamiliar to the standard Jam Scene. They have been known to cover entire albums by Led Zeppelin and the Who as well as perform entire shows of Country and Reggae. Artists as diverse as the Grateful Dead, the Flaming Lips, Willie Nelson and The Velvet Underground have seen their material interpreted by Mr. Blotto in the 2000+ shows the band has performed in the last 15 years, yet covers only pepper the bands hefty catalog of original material stemming from five studio albums and other unreleased crowd favorites.
