Feature Poet: Whois Ardimus the poet
Born and raised in St. Louis, Whois Ardimus, the poet first found his love for poetry in an 8th grade summer camp. What started as an assignment to record your experiences at camp ended up leading to a life-long passion. Making his first appearance as a spoken word artist in 2019, Ardimus continued to set himself apart from his peers, hosting open mics in his living room during the pandemic, running his organization Whois LLC, winning 2019’s WordUp Poetry Slam, semifinalist in Gods and Goddesses in 2021 and 2022, featured on River Front Times (RFT) Art A Fair in 2022 and 2023, and poems featured in The North County Anthology: Roots, Rainbows and the Truth and A Celebration of Poets Spring Edition. Creator of Pen Up or Shut Up Battle Poetry, Ardimus offered a platform where poets go head-to-head in a three round competition to see which poet comes out on top. Host of Who’s That Open Mic and Who’s Talk Podcast, Ardimus continues to provide a safe space for creators and community to connect and learn from each other to build a better tomorrow.
