Frequilibrium at Kennys Westside Pub
Frequilibrium at Kennys Westside Pub
Friday, June 8th, 2018
Frequilibrium at Kenny's Westside Pub!
Doors: 9:00pm
Show: 10:00pm
21+ w/ gov't-issued ID
$5 at the door
Come on out for 3 sets of smooth, jammed out funk/roots rock in downtown Peoria, courtesy of up-and-coming Chicago boys Frequilibrium!
A relatively newer act, the four naturally harness the power of the Southern rock greats, drawing influences from Allman Brothers Band and The Marcus King Band, while offering the progressive ingenuity of the next generation and a solid understanding of multiple genres. Their music is formed playfully but with much precision and care, providing the listener with a heartfelt experience within the first few bars.
The bandmates exude a brotherly chemistry both on and off-stage, which is no surprise, as bassist and lead guitarist/singer, Luke and Jake, respectively, are siblings. They have spent the past several years covering the likes of The Beatles and Paul Simon as an acoustic duo, their voices possessing the perfect ranges to pay tribute to these legends. Each member of Frequilibrium boasts a background in many styles of music, having declared themselves an eclectic mix of “ADD Rock.” You may find yourself in a bluesy, BB King-esque haze one moment, then instantly propelled into the throes of funky psychedelia à la Jimi Hendrix, the emotion-evoking tunes establishing a home in your heart.
Frequilibrium’s main goal is to leave their audiences vibrating on a higher plane, which is evident by the soulful lyrics and melodies they deliver. You won’t want to miss them when they roll into your town – the crowd always has just as much fun as they do; trust 'em when they say that's a lot.
